Flash console log in Necto

Sometimes support team will ask you to see a Flash Console log to resolve a "no data" or "not allowed" issue. This log has 2 modes: standard and extended mode.

The extended mode includes inner system operations and information that will make it easier for us to understand the underlying reason for the issue.

This article will explain how to produce standard and extended console.

Steps

For standard mode:

  1. Open Necto Web application
  2. Open new empty tab in IE browser
  3. Copy the link from first tab
  4. Erase "necto.htm" and type after the slash : flash/flashconsole/flasconsole.htm You should get: http://yourserver:4444/panorama/flash/flashconsole/flasconsole.htm
  5. Go to first tab and recreate an issue. The second tab will log the occurrences in Necto application tab opened. 
  6. Copy to clipboard and into Notepad and send the file to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

For extended mode:

  1. Browse the path drive:\Program Files (x86)\Panorama\E-BI\Flash\config\
  2. Open the file fcommon.txt and type s450=BI,NAS,INI,NAV. Save the file
  3. Open the path http://yourserver:4444/panorama/flash/flashconsole/flasconsole.htm in browser and recreate the issue as explained above in step 4-6.
